Fairborn, OH Finding a good spot was even easier at the 4th of July Parade in Fairborn, Ohio this year as the threat of rain kept about half of the would-be attenders away.

The ground was still dry when we staked our claim near Trinity United Church of Christ, but by the time the Skyhawk Marching Band appeared, the rains had settled in. Fortunately, the warm temperatures made the showers spring-like, and other than your canvas chair filling up with the water dripping off the umbrella next to you, the experience was not altogether unpleasant.

These are the photos I took at the parade. They are being made freely available (for non-commercial uses) in honor of the Day, and to recognize everyone who participated in spite of the wet conditions.
